I shot and produced a photo story as part of my Marketing Assistant work for AC Martin during the construction of the Wilshire Grand Center, a skyscraper that the company designed and managed the construction of in downtown Los Angeles, California. On the day of the shoot, the project director led architects and architecture students on a detailed tour of the building.
My goal in the project was to provide the online viewer with a feel of what it's like to tour a skyscraper while it was currently under construction. Ten years in the making, it was a monumental project that involved thousands of architects and construction workers. I provided a glimpse into their live work environment.
The Wilshire Grand Center stands 73 stories tall, contains 889 hotel rooms, office space and multiple high-end dining facilities at the top. Completed in June 2017, it is now the tallest building west of the Mississippi River.
